The Tong Yang Group (TYG) began operations in 1952 as a plastic bicycle parts factory, began manufacturing motorcycle parts in 1967, and began manufacturing automobile parts in 1976. The plant, which directly manufactures body parts, was founded in 1972. Now it has an area of 53,263 sq. meters with 320 employees. About 90% of operations are performed by automation. In 1997, the company received the SO9002 certificate, and in 1998 - ISO9000. Today, TYG is the largest production association in Taiwan, which includes more than one and a half dozen of the largest factories in China, Taiwan, Thailand, as well as factories in the USA (Texas) and Italy. TYG has a network of representative offices in more than 100 countries in North and South America, Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Australia, South Africa, Southeast Asia. The research center is constantly introducing the latest technologies and materials. This work resulted in the CAPA (Certified Automotive Parts Association) awarding TYG with the title of "Maximum Compliance with the Latest CAPA Quality Standards". TYG was awarded the status of Ford Q1 Quality Supplier (supplier of quality parts for Ford). The group is ISO 14001 certified. Today, TYG is one of the largest groups in the automotive industry, specializing in the production of plastic and metal car body parts.
