The Italian company Pilenga was founded in 1947 in Comun Nuovo, Bergamo. Initially, the Pilenga Steel Works made plates for household irons. The crisis in the early 60s forced the company to change its production program, and Pilenga began to develop a specialized workshop responsible for the finishing of the brake disc. At first, Pilenga produced only castings for the needs of car factories. Today, in the range of products under the Pilenga brand, 35% are finished products (brake discs and drums), and 65% are blanks (brake cylinder bodies, clutch pressure plates, shoe frames, various gears, pins, rods, racks, etc. .) for several dozen European manufacturers of spare parts. Today Pilenga is the largest manufacturer of brake discs and drums for conveyor belts in Europe and the USA (Kleisler and Harley Davidson). Due to the change of management, since 2000, Pilenga began supplying products to the aftermarket under its own name. Deliveries to Russia began at the end of 2001.
