KYB Corporation, one of the world's largest manufacturers of shock absorbers, has a long and distinguished history that began in 1919 in Japan. The company's founder, Japanese engineer and inventor Shiro Kayaba, made a significant contribution to the development of the automotive industry by creating a company that eventually became synonymous with high-quality shock absorbers and hydraulic equipment.
Today, KYB Corporation is known for its innovative products used in various sectors, from the automotive industry to aerospace technology. The company's main product is shock absorbers, which account for about 60% of its revenue. KYB's range includes a wide spectrum of parts, from those used in passenger cars to specialized ones for commercial vehicles and industrial equipment.
The company has 15 factories worldwide and holds leading market positions, producing more than 75 million shock absorbers annually. Among these is the world's largest shock absorber manufacturing plant located in Japan. Such production volume ensures the company's stable presence in the global market, where it competes with other major players.
It's important to note that KYB's products are known not only for their quality but also for their innovativeness. The company continuously works on improving its products, investing significant resources in research and development.
Besides shock absorbers, KYB also produces industrial hydraulics and other automotive components such as dust covers, bump stops, and strut mounts, as well as suspension springs. In 2020, the company expanded its product line to include steering and suspension parts, thus highlighting its flexibility and ability to adapt to market changes.
Thanks to its rich experience, innovations, and unwavering commitment to quality, KYB Corporation continues to be a leader in its industry.
